Bergman Safty-Spanner Wrench
"Head" without a handle

All tools guaranteed for one year under normal usage

In addition to our #100, 8-inch, #101, 14-inch, #102, 18 inch and #103, 26-inch Bergman Safty-Spanners, we manufacture a spanner "head" without a handle. Our #105A and #105B Heads will allow your valve operators to add their own variable lengths of 1" pipe. It is socketed so that you may insert extra-heavy or standard pipe handles at lengths suitable to your own valve wheel rotation problems. The pipe is inserted into the Head 4" deep and secured with 1/8" hollow set-screws for a locking effect.

We manufacture the following two designs which will fit valve handwheels from five to thirty-six inches:
 

#105 HEAD:
  • 3 lbs., 2 1/8 inch opening
  • Made of Aluminum-Magnesium Alloy
  • 40,000 lbs. P.S.I.
  • Hook-jaw can withstand 4 tons.

#105B HEAD:
  • 9 lbs., 2 1/4 inch opening
  • Made of Manganese-Bronze
  • 95,000 lbs. P.S.I.
  • Hook-jaw can withstand 5 tons
  • Heavy-Duty use
  • For Severe Problem Valves Almost Impossible to Rotate - we do not advise use on "normal" valves.
Additional Factors:
  • 24 inches of 1 inch heavy pipe will bend at 640 pounds pressure as a handle.
  • 18 inches of 1 inch heavy pipe will bend at 850 pounds pressure as a handle.
All of our Bergman Safty-Spanners are slip-proof and spark proof. Guaranteed for 1 year. If wrench is broken under normal usage, it will be replaced when returned to manufacturer and inspection shows no misuse.
